FAISALABAD, Nov 24 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Cap (R) Nadeem Nasir has issued a stern warning to the contractor to improve cleanliness standards within a week, or risk having their contract terminated.
Chairing a meeting on Monday, he instructed that photos of cleanliness efforts, along with geo-tagging, be uploaded to the dashboard for monitoring.
The Deputy Commissioner also called for a weekly action plan to eliminate encroachments in the eight bazaars surrounding Clock Tower Chowk, as well as the implementation of a deep cleansing initiative.
In response to poor cleanliness in Chak Jhumra, the Deputy Commissioner cancelled the local contractor’s contract and directed the Assistant Commissioners to ensure the effective implementation of the ‘Suthra Punjab’ program. He emphasized that any sanitary staff found to be inefficient or negligent would be dismissed.
Furthermore, he instructed the Parks and Horticulture Authority to ensure the proper maintenance of parks, green belts, and plantations.
