ISLAMABAD, Nov 23 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have intensified their crackdown on motorcycle theft and street crime, arresting two wanted members of an organised gang and recovering four stolen motorcycles.
An official told APP on Sunday that the Shams Colony Police Station team used modern technical tools and human intelligence to trace and arrest the suspects, identified as Abdul Qasim and Sajid Ali.
During the initial investigation, both accused confessed to committing multiple motorcycle thefts in Shams Colony and adjoining areas. Cases have been registered against them, and further investigation is underway.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said that strict action is being taken against those involved in motorcycle theft and other street crimes, which has resulted in a noticeable decline in such incidents across the federal capital.
