ISLAMABAD, Nov 23 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted a grand search and combing operation in various areas of Sumbal Police Station under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza.
An official told APP on Sunday that Superintendent of Police (SP) Industrial Area led the on-ground teams, while Ladies Police and CTD units also participated in the operation.
He said the police personnel were given a detailed pre-operation briefing regarding deployment, checking procedures and coordination.
During the search operation, 235 individuals and 115 houses were checked.
Police teams also inspected 28 motorcycles and 31 vehicles as part of the security sweep.
The official added that eight (08) suspicious individuals were shifted to the respective police stations for further verification.
He said the purpose of the operation was to curb crime in the area and ensure a safe environment for residents.
According to the ICT Police, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has already directed district-wide grand search operations to eliminate criminal elements.
