FAISALABAD, Nov 22 (APP):Managing Director of Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Sohail Qadir Cheema cancelled leaves for entire operations staff due to the polling day of by-elections scheduled on Sunday (November 23).
He directed the entire field force to remain present at their duty points to ensure uninterrupted
sewerage services across the city.
This decision has been taken to maintain immediate response capability in case of any sewerage-related
complaint during the polling process in different constituencies of Faisalabad, he added.
He said that operational teams have been deployed at various polling stations where necessary
duties have been assigned to ensure technical readiness.
All polling stations have been cleared from sewerage issues in advance to facilitate smooth
and disturbance-free voting arrangements, he added.
He said that WASA is utilizing all available resources to deliver high-standard drainage
and sewerage services to the citizens especially during important civic events.
Public service is prime responsibility of WASA and the authority would continue ensuring
efficient response, preparedness and service delivery throughout the polling day, he added.
