FAISALABAD, Nov 22 (APP):State Minister for National Health Services Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath on Saturday inaugurated the newly established advanced modular operation theatres at Madinah Teaching Hospital, affiliated with University Medical & Dental College, The University of Faisalabad, and declared it a revolutionary step for providing international-standard surgical facilities to patients.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government is committed to healthcare reforms, technological advancement, and the provision of accessible, high-quality medical services to the public. He commended the hospital administration and staff for their professionalism and expressed confidence that the advanced surgical facilities would play a pivotal role in delivering superior healthcare services to the population of the region.
He said that the new theatres mark a transformative milestone that would not only enhance patient safety and treatment efficiency but also pave the way for the integration of cutting-edge medical technologies into the healthcare system of the country.
Following the inauguration, the State Minister undertook a detailed visit to various departments of the hospital, including laboratories and specialized units, where he closely reviewed modern infrastructure, cleanliness standards, staff performance, and overall administrative discipline. He praised the hospital administration for ensuring high-quality medical services and maintaining a professional working environment aligned with global best practices.
Dr. Bharath also visited the university library and Islamic gallery, where he took keen interest in the rare manuscripts, historical documents, medical research archives, and collections reflecting scholarly contributions of distinguished personalities. He said that the academic environment, advanced research facilities, and invaluable antiquities preserved by the university serve as a significant intellectual asset for students and faculty, playing a vital role in promoting research culture and strengthening the institution’s academic identity. He emphasized the importance of scholarly engagement and said that the pursuit of books and research is the foundation upon which modern medical science continues to progress.
Principal University Medical College Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Malik, Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Shirza Nadeem, Principal Dental College Prof. Dr. Arsalan Wahid, heads of various departments, faculty members, graduates’ parents, medical professionals, and social figures were also present on the occasion.
