“Divine Garden” inaugurated at Gomal University to boost agro-education

Dera Ismail Khan , Nov 22 (APP):Gomal University  inaugurated an olive plantation project titled “Divine Garden” at the Faculty of Agriculture, aimed at promoting olive cultivation, agricultural development, and environmental awareness among students.
The inauguration ceremony was organized by the university’s Horticulture and Landscaping Section in collaboration with the Estate Section. Member of the National Assembly Dawar Khan Kundi attended the event as the chief guest, while Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naimat Ullah Khan, Registrar Zahir Shah Marwat, the Dean Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Muhammad Safdar Baloch, and heads of various academic departments were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted that the establishment of the olive garden would not only support the promotion of olive cultivation in the region but also help educate students on the importance of trees, sustainable agriculture, and environmental protection.
During the ceremony, references from Hadith were shared, emphasizing the significance and benefits of olive trees and olive oil in Islamic teachings.
The Divine Garden is expected to serve as a model initiative for environmental improvement, agricultural training, and long-term sustainable development within Gomal University.
