LAHORE, Nov 21 (APP): A sessions court on Friday sentenced one Muhammad Lateef to death in a murder case after the charges were proven. The court also imposed a fine of Rs. 200,000 on him.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Shoaib Anwar Qureshi announced the verdict. The court delivered the sentence in light of the evidence and witness testimonies.The prosecution presented 17 witnesses against the accused.
The prosecutor stated that documentary evidence proved the accused’s involvement in the crime, and the CCTV footage of the murder was also made part of the record. According to the prosecution, the accused shot dead a citizen Adil Yousaf over a minor dispute.
A case had been registered at Nishtar Colony Police Station in 2021.
