RAWALPINDI, Nov 21 (APP):Ensuring complete transparency and eliminating the “booti mafia” the, Controller Examinations, Rawalpindi Education Board, Tanveer Asghar Awan on Friday conducted surprise inspections of several examination centres and marking centres established for the Intermediate Part-I Second Annual Examination 2025.
The centres visited included Government Associate College Dhok Kala Khan Rawalpindi, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dhok Kashmiriian Rawalpindi, Government Boys High School Dhok Kashmiriian Rawalpindi, and Government Graduate College for Boys, Pinwal Road, Chakwal.
During the unannounced visits, he personally reviewed the functionality of CCTV cameras, security arrangements, paper-checking procedures, and strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in both examination halls and marking centres.
Speaking to reporters and staff, Tanveer reiterated that the Punjab government’s “zero-tolerance policy” against unfair means was being implemented without any exception.
“No candidate, examination staff member, or marking centre employee will be allowed to violate the SOPs under any circumstances,” he intimated.
He expressed satisfaction over the performance of duty staff and said that effective strategy and enhanced monitoring had yielded remarkable success in curbing the activities of cheating mafias.
“Because of better planning and vigilant oversight, the booti mafia has been largely neutralized this year,” he added.
He further said that students were being provided the best possible facilities so they could appear in the examinations in a peaceful, transparent, and conducive environment.
