KARACHI, Nov 21 (APP): Gulzar Cricket Club and Young Star Cricket Club registered convincing victories as two more matches were played in the S.M. Adil Zone-IV Inter Club Cricket Tournament here Friday. The event is being organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi Zone-IV.
The day’s standout performance came from Ahsan Ullah Khan, who smashed a brilliant 130 for Gulzar CC, while Ahad Ali impressed with a four-wicket haul (4/27). Bilal Mirza also claimed 4/42 earlier in the day.
In the first match, Gulzar CC defeated Eleven Star Cricket Club by seven wickets at Pak Star Ground.
Eleven Star CC were bowled out for 202 in 37.3 overs, with Ayaz ur Rehman scoring 65. Bilal Mirza took 4/42, while Fahad Tariq picked up 3/41.
Gulzar CC chased down the target comfortably, reaching 203/3 in 23.2 overs. Ahsan Ullah’s dominant century powered the win. He was later named Player of the Match.
In the second match, Young Star Cricket Club beat Quaidabad Gymkhana by eight wickets at Landhi Gymkhana Ground.
Quaidabad Gymkhana managed 169 all out in 34 overs, thanks to half-centuries from Imdad Hussain (57) and Abdul Qadir (56). Ahad Ali led the bowling with 4/27, supported by Huzaifa Sajid’s 3/29.
Young Star CC chased the target with ease, finishing at 173/2 in 27.1 overs. Abdul Rehman scored 59 while Salah Khan added 58. Ahad Ali was declared Man of the Match.
