PESHAWAR, Nov 20 (APP):The Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat on Thursday organized a public awareness session and Khuli Katcheri in Tehsil Drosh, district Lower Chitral, bringing together citizens, local elders, public representatives, and officers from various federal and district departments.
The session was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral, Imran Wazir, while the Wafaqi Mohtasib was represented by Regional Head Peshawar, Muhammad Mushtaq Jadoon, and Regional Head Swat, Sanaullah Khan.
During the Khuli Katcheri, citizens raised complaints pertaining to electricity supply, NADRA services, the Post Office, Bait-ul-Mal, and several other federal departments.
A number of issues were resolved on the spot as the Regional Head and concerned officers issued immediate directives.
Deputy Commissioner Imran Wazir appreciated the efforts of the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat and assured full support from the district administration in addressing public grievances.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Mushtaq Jadoon said the Wafaqi Mohtasib is committed to providing “quick, affordable, and effective justice” to citizens.
He urged the public to report issues without hesitation, noting that such feedback helps improve institutional performance.
He added that community participation and public awareness play a key role in enhancing transparency, accountability, and overall governance standards.
Participants were informed that the Office of the Wafaqi Mohtasib is open to all citizens, where complaints are addressed free of cost and in a transparent manner.
