IGP pins ranks on 49 newly-promoted inspectors

LAHORE, Nov 20 (APP):A rank-pinning ceremony was held at the Central Police Office on the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, to honour officers promoted to the rank of Inspector.
According to Punjab Police spokesperson on Thursday, the IGP pinned ranks on 49 newly promoted Inspectors, including 18 from Sheikhupura Region, 17 from Sargodha Region, and 14 from Sahiwal Region. A large number of family members, including parents and children, attended the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Usman Anwar expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz for her sustained support and provision of resources to Punjab Police. He said that seven promotion boards were convened this year, resulting in the promotion of 1,047 officers from sub-inspector to inspector. He added that over the past three years, 3,456 officers have been promoted through 27 promotion boards.
The IGP Punjab directed officers to ensure effective use of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology for enhanced smart policing and improved service delivery. He also stressed maintaining police stations and offices with the same care as one’s own home and treating citizens with courtesy.
Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-II Cap (retd) Liaqat Ali Malik, along with AIGs, SPs, and SDPOs, attended the ceremony.
