FAISALABAD, Nov 20 (APP):Chinese delegation from leading medical universities of China has visited University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and discussed the opportunities for joint collaboration with a focus on academic exchange, research partnerships and strengthening institutional linkages.
The delegation comprising Jiang Fu Young, Guo Hong Jun and Bilal Haider Shamsi reiterated the long-standing Sino-Pak friendship and the shared commitment to promoting innovation and knowledge-sharing in the medical and agricultural sectors.
The delegation also visited the Confucius Institute, Main Library and the Expo Center where they were briefed on UAF’s facilities, ongoing research initiatives and international outreach programs.
During briefing, UAF officials said that China-Pakistan relations continue to grow stronger, with the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) acting as a catalyst for regional development, technological advancement and enhanced people-to-people connectivity.
The visit is expected to open new avenues for bilateral cooperation in education and research, UAF spokesman said.
UAF Director Research Dr Rao Zahid Abbas, Vice Chancellor Faisalabad Medical University (FMU) Dr Zafar Chaudhary, Dr Zubair Aslam, Dr Fahad Rasul, Principal Officer Jahanzaib Tariq, Umar Farooq and other notables were also present at the meeting.
