ISLAMABAD, Nov 20 (APP):Director Excise and Taxation Bilal Azam on Thursday visited several M-Tag service points in Islamabad to review operations and ensure residents receive smooth and timely support.
His visits included centres at Kachnar Park (I-8) and F-7 Gol Market, where he met staff and reminded them to assist residents with complete guidance throughout the registration process.
On the occasion, Bilal Azam said the number of M-Tag service points across the capital is being increased step by step so that more people can access the facility without difficulty. He encouraged motorists to get M-Tags for their vehicles and cooperate with the department as responsible citizens.
According to the Excise and Taxation Department, M-Tag services are now available at 10 locations in Islamabad. These centres are open daily from 9am to 9pm, allowing residents to visit at their convenience.
The list of current M-Tag service points included Excise and Taxation Office, Islamabad, Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9), Kachnar Park, I-8, Gol Market, F-7, Metro Cash & Carry, I-11, Lake View Park, Islamabad Club, Gulberg Green, 26 Number Chungi, and Tarlai CFC.
Bilal Azam said the department will continue expanding these services to cover more areas of the city. He added that the goal is to streamline the registration process for M-Tags and make the service easily accessible for all vehicle owners.
The Excise and Taxation Department has advised residents to visit the nearest service point and register their vehicles to avoid delays on highways and ensure smooth travel. The department believes the extended service hours and wider network will help residents complete their M-Tag process without long waiting times.
Officials said the initiative reflects the city administration’s broader efforts to improve road management and support digital systems for vehicle identification. M-Tags are required for entry on several major routes, and the department expects demand to continue rising in the coming days.
The Excise and Taxation Department has asked residents to spread awareness and cooperate with staff at service points. They assured that the process is simple and can be completed within minutes at any of the designated centres.
