RAWALPINDI, Nov 20 (APP):The Rawalpindi Police arrested four drug suppliers and seized more than 5.5 kilograms of narcotics during a district-wide crackdown launched on the instructions of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.

According to the spokesman on Thursday, the Wah Saddar Police held a suspect and recovered 1.26 kg of heroin, while the Rawat Police arrested another individual with 1.6 kg of charas.
Similarly, the Chaklala Police detained a drug supplier and seized 1.52 kg of charas, whereas the Kahuta Police arrested another suspect with 1.320 kg of charas.

CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani said that all necessary measures were being taken to curb the scourge of narcotics in line with the Punjab Government’s vision of a “drug-free Punjab”.
He said the police remained committed to continuing targeted operations against narcotics suppliers across the district.
