ISLAMABAD, Nov 20 (APP):Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG) I-8/4 held its prestigious Investiture Ceremony 2025 with great zeal and dignity, marking a significant milestone in promoting student leadership, responsibility and academic excellence.
The ceremony was graced by Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, as the Chief Guest, said a press release on Thursday.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Shahwana, followed by a heartfelt Naat presented by Fatima Noor, which set an inspiring and graceful tone for the proceedings.
A formal welcome address preceded the remarks of Principal Shagufta, who highlighted the institution’s academic progress, extracurricular achievements, and its continued commitment to delivering quality education throughout the academic year.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the oath-taking of the newly elected office bearers, who pledged to uphold discipline, dedication and integrity in the execution of their duties. The programme also featured a presentation of Kalam-e-Iqbal, reinforcing the values of self-belief, determination and service. The outgoing president delivered an expressive farewell speech, followed by the candle exchange ceremony, symbolising the smooth and dignified transition of responsibilities to the new student council.
 Farah Naz Akbar commended the confidence, discipline and enthusiasm displayed by the students. She emphasised the transformative role of education, the importance of character-building, and the need to instil national and moral values in young learners. As a token of appreciation, a shield was presented to the Chief Guest.
She also planted a lemon tree on the college premises, symbolizing growth, sustainability and the institution’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
The ceremony concluded with a group photograph, followed by cake cutting and refreshments, bringing the event to a graceful and memorable close.
IMCG I-8/4 reaffirmed its mission to nurture empowered, responsible and visionary young leaders, committed to excellence and national progress.
