QUETTA, Nov 20 (APP):The office of the Provincial Election Commissioner (PEC) Balochistan in a meeting on Thursday, reviewed security and administrative arrangements for the upcoming local body elections in Quetta.
The meeting chaired by PEC Ali Asghar Sial, the session focused on ensuring transparency and foolproof security for the polls.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Election Commission and law enforcement agencies, including Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Syed Waseem Ahmed Jafri, DIG Police Quetta Imran Shoukat, Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, Regional Election Commissioner Quetta Tahir Hassan and District Election Commissioner Quetta Syed Nazir Ahmed.
PEC Ali Asghar Sial underscored the importance of foolproof security arrangements to maintain law and order and ensure a peaceful electoral environment.
DIG Police Quetta presented a detailed security plan and assured full implementation of measures with administrative cooperation.
DC Quetta pledged complete commitment to supporting the security and administrative framework.
Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Syed Waseem Ahmed Jafri highlighted the need for effective training of polling staff to uphold electoral integrity.
Regional and District Election Commissioners Tahir Hassan and Syed Nazir Ahmed assured timely distribution of election material and effective monitoring of local-level arrangements.
All participants unanimously assured the Provincial Election Commissioner of their full cooperation in adhering to directives and conducting the elections in a peaceful, transparent, and secure environment.
