ICT Police launches 24/7 WeChat help desk for Chinese nationals

ISLAMABAD, Nov 20 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Safe City Directorate has fully activated its dedicated WeChat communication service for Chinese nationals, providing round-the-clock (24/7) access to the Command and Control Center for assistance, reporting, and security-related support.
A police spokesperson told APP on Thursday that the Safe City Chinese Security Desk, operating 24/7 inside the Command and Control Center, continuously monitors activities and responds to queries from Chinese residents working and living in Islamabad.

He said the newly activated WeChat help desk enables Chinese nationals to seek help without making a phone call. Through the WeChat platform, users can send messages, report suspicious activity, share complaints, or request assistance — and receive an immediate response from the Safe City monitoring team.
The spokesperson added that the service is quick, secure, easy to use, and offers direct access to police support in real time.
According to the Safe City Directorate, Chinese nationals can use the WeChat desk for a wide range of police-related services, including emergency assistance, verification support, safety guidance, and reporting suspicious persons or activities.

He said ICT Police remain committed to providing modern, technology-driven safety solutions to foreign nationals, especially the Chinese community contributing to development and economic projects in Islamabad.
