LAHORE, Nov 20 (APP):It has now become far more difficult for robbers and other criminals to evade arrest as the Punjab Police had been granted direct access to the NADRA records.
According to an official letter issued on Monday, the Punjab Police will now be able to obtain records of high-risk criminals from the NADRA without delay.
The new access will also allow officers to identify suspects through CCTV images more quickly and accurately.
In addition, investigators will be able to retrieve family details, identity information linked to any CNIC number, and case-related data through the investigation branch.
A formal directive has been circulated to investigation officers and CRO in-charges across all districts.
The letter was issued by the AIG Monitoring Punjab to the concerned officials.
