SARGODHA, Nov 20 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams from Sargodha and Jhang busted a fake milk production unit in Shahpur after sustained surveillance, seizing large quantities of adulterated materials and arresting the main accused on the spot.
According to PFA officials, the factory was producing milk using dry powder and ghee.
During the raid, the teams confiscated 3,600 litres of adulterated mixture, which was intended to be processed into nearly 35,000 litres of fake milk. The entire quantity was destroyed on-site.
Authorities also seized all machinery, 275 kilograms of dry milk powder, and 80 kilograms of ghee used for adulteration.
The police registered a case against three suspects, while the key ringleader was arrested during the operation.
The officials said strict action against the production and sale of fake and adulterated milk is underway across the region.
