PESHAWAR, Nov 20 (APP):A rare and endangered snow leopard has once again been spotted in a video clip in Munoor Valley of Garam Chashma, located in Pakistan’s Chitral region.
According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife Department on Thursday, the elusive big cat was seen near a local settlement, prompting wildlife officials to take immediate action in the area.
Officials stated that snow leopard presence had been reported in Chitral a few years ago as well, but this latest sighting is being considered a significant development for the species’ conservation.
Wildlife teams are currently deployed in the region, working to ensure the protection of the snow leopard and preservation of its natural habitat.
The department has also advised local residents on precautionary measures to avoid any potential conflict. Authorities emphasized that community cooperation is crucial for the survival and protection of the endangered snow leopard.
