Multiple illegal structures demolished, 62 properties sealed

LAHORE, Nov 19 (APP):The Lahore Development Authority has launched a large-scale crackdown against illegal housing schemes and unlawful commercial establishments across the LDA-controlled areas.
On the special directions of Director General LDA Tahir Farooq, the teams, led by the Chief Metropolitan Planning Wing, conducted action in Metropolitan Zone II and Zone III, targeting 18 illegal housing schemes.
During the operation, offices of illegal schemes, boundary walls, main gates, roads, and other structures were demolished.
The LDA spokesperson stated that indiscriminate operations will continue against all illegal residential schemes, unauthorized constructions, and commercial encroachments.
In another major action on Wednesday, the LDA Town Planning Wing carried out a crackdown against illegal commercial properties across several major localities.
Teams conducted operations in Khayaban-e-Jinnah, PIA Road, Johar Town, Mustafa Town and Faisal Town, sealing 62 properties in total.
During the recovery operation, 37 properties in Khayaban-e-Jinnah, PIA Road and Johar Town, and 15 properties in Mustafa Town were sealed. Moreover, due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees, 10 properties were sealed in Faisal Town.
Sealed properties included private schools, clinics, gyms, cloth shops, property offices, grocery stores, auto workshops, salons, food points, shops, offices, and several other establishments.
This operation was carried out under the supervision of Chief Town Planner-I Asad Uz Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali.
