ISLAMABAD, Nov 18 (APP): Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) Tuesday announced that the chamber will soon convene a traders convention aimed at formulating concrete, actionable proposals for submission to the concerned authorities to ensure swift resolution of the business community’s longstanding issues.
Addressing a delegation of the Traders Welfare Association (TWA) G-9, President ICCI , Sardar Tahir Mehmood said that the business community is the real engine of economic growth, yet its concerns are persistently ignored by relevant authorities whose primary focus revolves around imposing additional taxes for their own expenditures rather than facilitating trade.
He reaffirmed that ICCI’s top priority is to address traders’ problems at the grassroots level, whether related to infrastructure, municipal services, regulations, or market facilitation.
He added that ICCI is committed to strengthening every commercial center of the Capital by fostering an enabling business environment, improving service delivery, and promoting ease of doing business.
He urged ICCI leadership to ensure that the Chairman CDA visits the Chamber to directly hear traders’ grievances.
Senior Vice President ICCI Tahir Ayub stated that ICCI maintains regular engagement with market associations across Islamabad and will continue raising traders’ concerns with CDA and other departments for timely action. He assured the delegation that ICCI’s doors remain open for all traders seeking guidance or assistance.
Vice President Mohammad Irfan Chaudhry said that resolving market-level issues remains central to ICCI’s community service mission.
He emphasized that the Chamber is strengthening coordination with traders to ensure smooth business operations and improved facilities in all commercial zones.
