SARGODHA, Nov 18 (APP):Punjab Minister for Communication & Works, Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bherth conducted a late-night inspection of ongoing road rehabilitation works in Sargodha Division.
According to the official spokesperson here on Monday, the minister reviewed construction progress on three major roads, including Khushab Road, Jhavorian Road, and Mianwali Road.
On the occasion, the minister expressed displeasure over substandard work at certain sections and reprimanded responsible officers.
He directed the monitoring officers to conduct immediate testing of all road segments, and substandard material must be removed and replaced.
He also instructed the authorities to ensure early completion of road furniture and lane marking work and installing lights on Jhelum Bridge.
Sohaib Ahmed Berth said that negligence in work will not be tolerated under any circumstances, emphasizing expediting the pace of work on all three projects. “Heavy trucks parked illegally along the roadside will face legal action”, the minister added.
