ISLAMABAD, Nov 18 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police carried out grand search and combing operations in the jurisdictions of Shalimar and Shahzad Town police stations as part of the ongoing crackdown against criminal elements.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the operations were conducted under the supervision of SP Saddar Zone and SP Rural Zone. Lady police personnel and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) teams also participated in the exercise.
Before the operation, all deployed personnel were given a detailed briefing regarding the search plan and safety protocols.
During the operation, 146 individuals were checked, while 192 houses were searched. Police teams also verified 97 motorcycles and 44 vehicles.
The official added that seven suspicious individuals were shifted to the concerned police stations for further verification and legal procedures.
He said the purpose of the operation is to curb crime, strengthen security, and ensure the safety of residents in the area.
The official further stated that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad has issued directions for grand search operations across the district to eliminate criminal activity.
