BU delegation concludes foreign visit, expands academic collaboration

ISLAMABAD, Nov 17 (APP): A Bahria University (BU) delegation has successfully concluded a series of institutional visits to leading universities in Uzbekistan, marking a major boost to the university’s international academic outreach and collaboration efforts.
According to the spokesperson on Monday, the delegation comprised of Asif Khaliq, Rector BU, Dr Awais Mehmood, Director International Office and Dr Adam Saud, Dean Humanities & Social Sciences, , who visited the famous universities in Tashkent and Samarkand.
He added that the team visited the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz), University of Geological Sciences (UGS), Samarkand Institute of Economics & Service (SamISI), and Samarkand State University (SamSU), where they received a warm welcome at all institutions and held productive meetings with university leadership
During the visits, both sides explored opportunities in fields of mutual interest including, student and faculty exchange, Joint research initiatives, summer school participation, online seminars and academic webinars, collaboration in geology, environmental sciences, economics, hospitality, tourism, and social sciences, he noted.
Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) were signed with all partner universities, reaffirming Bahria University’s commitment to strengthening academic partnerships across Central Asia, he highlighted.
