KP Governor assures minority delegation of Christmas event, resolution of issues

PESHAWAR, Nov 17 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday assured a representative delegation of the minority community that a Christmas Day event would be arranged at the Governor House Peshawar.
The delegation, led by Jamil Bhatti and including Lubna Taj, Farah Shahid, and others, met the Governor to discuss their concerns.
During the meeting, the delegation requested the hosting of a Christmas programme at the Governor House and highlighted issues faced by the minority community, particularly in the sectors of education and health.
Governor Kundi reaffirmed that the government was taking concrete steps to safeguard the rights of minorities and address their challenges.
He said the minority community plays an important role in national development and that all necessary measures would be taken to resolve their issues.
He added that minorities form a proud part of society and their rights would be protected at every level. Meanwhile, a delegation from AquaTech Fisheries, led by Chairman Ahmad Hussain, met with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening the province’s fisheries and aquaculture sector.
The team highlighted key opportunities to enhance the fisheries value chain, generate employment, boost local production, and expand exports. They also sought the Governor’s support and coordination with relevant departments to facilitate these initiatives.
Governor welcomed the initiative and assured his full cooperation in promoting the growth of fisheries and aquaculture across the province.
Similarly, Syed Wajeeh-Ul-Husnain, Controller of Examinations at IM Sciences Peshawar called on Governor Kundi, to discuss academic challenges faced by Pakistani students studying in foreign universities.
The discussion focused on the evolving academic landscape, quality assurance, credit recognition, and support mechanisms to help students navigate international education systems.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, emphasized the importance of addressing these academic challenges, providing proper guidance, and strengthening support systems to ensure students’ success abroad.
