GUJRAT, Nov 17 (APP):An anti-quackery team led by Deputy District Health Officer (DDHO) Dr. Waheed Kamran sealed a clinic and issued warnings to others during inspections carried out on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi.
The team inspected clinics in Union Councils Saboor, Choor Chak, Banyan, and Bazurgwal. At Ayan Clinic in Bazurgwal, a dispenser was found practicing illegal allopathic treatment.
A large quantity of used syringes, injections, and steroids was recovered, and the clinic was sealed on the spot. The case has been referred to the Punjab Healthcare Commission in Lahore. At Raza Clinic, the doctor was present and directed to immediately complete PHC registration. Shakeel Homeo Clinic in Banyan was issued a warning for minor violations.
The anti-quackery campaign will continue across the district under a zero-tolerance policy to ensure safe and quality healthcare for the public.
