RAWALPINDI, Nov 16 (APP): The Rawalpindi Police have continued to maintain enhanced security arrangements for churches across the city, with over 400 officers and personnel deployed on duty.
“Senior officers regularly inspect the deployed staff and brief them on their responsibilities,” a police spokesperson said on Sunday.
Mobile units, Elite Force and Dolphin Force teams also conduct continuous patrolling and surveillance to ensure maximum security of the churches, he added.
City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani said the protection of citizens’ lives and property, including those of minority communities, remained the police’s foremost responsibility, adding that all available resources were being utilised to ensure their safety.
