PESHAWAR, Nov 16 (APP): Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Babar Saleem Swati here on Sunday attended Grand Alumni Homecoming 2025 at University of Peshawar (UoP) as the chief guest. The event celebrated the University’s 75 years of academic and research contributions which was attended by the alumni, faculty, and notable dignitaries.
In his address, Speaker Swati paid rich tribute to UoP, calling it a “strong intellectual and social beacon” for both province and country over seven decades. He emphasized that institution has consistently produced capable, principled, and visionary leaders currently serving in key national institutions.
The Speaker expressed his appreciation for successful organization of the event, thanking the university administration, the organizing team, Vice Chancellor Dr. Johar Ali Khan, President Alumni Association Amjad Ali Arbab, and Arbab Shehzad for their dedication and vision.
Swati underscored the importance of such homecoming events, noting they reconnect alumni with their alma mater, guide current students, and strengthen the institution’s legacy. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting higher education, encouraging research, and promoting development of educational institutions in the province.
