Dera Ismail Khan , Nov 16 (APP): On the directives of Commissioner Dera, Zafar-ul-Salam Khattak, the anti-encroachment campaign continues on Sunday across Tehsil Dera Ismail Khan to improve traffic flow and ensure public convenience.
As part of the ongoing drive, the administration carried out an operation on Dinpur Road, removing the remaining encroachments. The team later moved to Madina Colony Road, where all identified permanent and temporary encroachments were completely cleared.
The operation was led by Assistant Commissioner Dera, Syed Muhammad Arsalan, while the DSP Traffic, TMO, Tehsildar Dera, revenue staff and police personnel were also present on the occasion.
During the action, illegal structures including staircases, ramps, shades, tandoors and stands were removed, a move expected to significantly improve traffic flow and facilitate pedestrian movement.
The district administration has directed all shopkeepers and traders to voluntarily remove their permanent and temporary encroachments; otherwise, strict legal action will be taken.
The anti-encroachment campaign will continue in the coming days as part of the district’s efforts to ensure smooth urban mobility and restore public spaces.
