ISLAMABAD, Nov 16 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police held a graceful farewell ceremony at Shams Colony Police Station to recognize the long and dedicated service of Sub-Inspector Rana Shoukat, who retired from the force after completing his tenure.
An police official told APP on Sunday that Superintendent of Police (SP) Dolphin Industrial Area Zone, Khalid Mehmood Awan, attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while other senior officers were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Khalid praised the contributions of the retiring officer and said that retirement is a natural part of service. “Whoever begins service will one day complete it. What matters is that we spend our years in uniform with honesty, good character, and a commitment to public service,” he said.
He added that Sub-Inspector Shoukat had devoted a valuable part of his life to serving the public through the police department. “In return, the department has given you respect, dignity, and a place of honour. For this, we must always remain grateful to Almighty Allah,” he remarked.

The SP Khalid further said that officers should always strive to perform maximum public service during their tenure, as it brings honour in this world and reward in the hereafter. He assured the retiring officer that if he ever faced any official or personal issue, the doors of his office would always remain open.
The retiring officer expressed gratitude for the respect and affection he received from his colleagues and thanked the department for acknowledging his service.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, SP Khalid presented Sub-Inspector Rana Shoukat with an honorary police shield, gifts, and best wishes for the future.
