SARGODHGA, Nov 16 (APP): Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha Division, Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan, along with District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf, conducted an open court at Police Chowki Pul 111, Atta Shaheed Police Station, on Sunday. The open court saw a large turnout of citizens who brought forward their concerns and grievances. During the session, RPO Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan personally listened to the issues of the public and gave on-the-spot instructions to the concerned police officers for their resolution. The RPO explained that the primary objective of holding open courts was to identify public problems, resolve them promptly, and further strengthen mutual cooperation and trust between the police and the community.
The citizens present at the open court also praised the police measures aimed at preventing dumper accidents. They acknowledged that these efforts had significantly reduced traffic accidents in the area. RPO Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan discussed the increased traffic hours for dumpers and other heavy vehicles due to fog and the ongoing sugarcane harvesting season. He emphasized that during winter, if drivers fail to follow traffic rules and cause accidents, the police would restore the restricted traffic hours of 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The RPO expressed hope that dumper drivers and owners would cooperate with the police to adhere to traffic rules, thereby ensuring the safety of public lives and property.
Later, RPO Shahzad Asif Khan visited the construction site of the new building of Police Chowki Pul 111. He directed the relevant authorities to ensure that the construction work meets the required standards and is completed within the specified timeframe.
