Arifa Zahra paid rich tributes

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 16 (APP): The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) organized a condolence reference in memory of Dr. Syeda Arifa Zahra, the distinguished academician, writer, and intellectual.
The ceremony was hosted by the Department of Media and Communication Studies at IUB. Vice Chancellor of IUB, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, spoke on the occasion, honoring Dr. Syeda Arifa Zahra as a renowned educationist, intellectual, researcher, social leader, and advocate for women’s rights in Pakistan.
“She was among the prominent academic and intellectual figures of Pakistan, who made extraordinary contributions in the fields of education, ethics, and social reform,” he said, adding that her passing was a significant loss for the lovers of Urdu language and literature.
He further emphasized that her literary services would always be remembered and cherished. The participants paid tribute to Dr. Zahra for her outstanding contributions to education, human rights, knowledge, culture, and gender equality.
Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, shared her sentiments, describing Dr. Zahra as a beacon of compassion and wisdom.
The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Department of Media Studies, Dr. Adnan Malik; Chairman of the Department of Applied Psychology, Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem; Deputy Registrar, Fatima Muzahir; faculty members Abida Noreen, Shafaq Manzoor, Agha Sadaf Mehdi, and other distinguished teachers.
