CHINIOT, Nov 15 (APP): Under the leadership of District Emergency Officer Tahira Khan, the Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 on Saturday organized awareness walks and seminars across Chiniot’s three tehsils—Chiniot, Lalian and Bhuana—to observe World Road Accident Victims Day. The events aimed to spotlight the importance of road safety, educate the public on traffic regulations, and honor those who have lost their lives or been injured in road crashes. Participants gathered in each locality, carrying banners and sharing messages that stressed careful and responsible driving as the most effective way to curb accidents.
In a statement, District Emergency Officer Chiniot Tahira Khan said Rescue 1122 is committed to intensifying its public-education efforts to bring down the accident rate to a minimum. She urged citizens to strictly adhere to traffic rules and to look out for the safety of both themselves and fellow road users. The seminars featured interactive sessions where emergency responders demonstrated first-aid techniques and explained how quick medical intervention can save lives.
The awareness campaigns concluded with a renewed pledge from officials and residents alike to make road safety a collective responsibility, reinforcing the message that every journey counts and that mindful driving can prevent needless tragedies on Chiniot’s roads.
