FAISALABAD, Nov 15 (APP): President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, has extended a warm welcome to Field Marshal Asim Munir on his appointment as the country’s first Chief of Defense. In a statement on Saturday, Sheikh expressed his confidence that under Field Marshal Munir’s leadership, Pakistan would overcome both internal and external challenges while maintaining a strategic balance in the region.
The FCCI President noted that the appointment comes at a critical time, as Pakistan, a responsible nuclear state, faces no prospect of conventional war. Instead, hostile forces have resorted to destabilizing tactics aimed at creating internal disorder, after failing to confront Pakistan on traditional military fronts.
Sheikh emphasized that, in light of these developments, harmony between the armed forces and the government is crucial for ensuring national stability. He further stated that the rapidly changing geopolitical landscape calls for strong and decisive leadership, and that Field Marshal Asim Munir is fully capable of bolstering Pakistan’s defense, making the nation more invincible.
FCCI President concluded by affirming that the nation has full faith in the ability of the new Chief of Defense to lead Pakistan’s armed forces in defending national interests and maintaining peace and stability across the region.
