LAHORE, Nov 15 (APP): Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan, chairing a divisional meeting at her office on Saturday, reviewed dengue surveillance, flood relief operations, wheat sowing targets, and anti-smog activities in Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Kasur, and Sheikhupura districts.
Deputy Commissioners of all four districts presented detailed briefings on ongoing initiatives.
The Commissioner directed that the wheat sowing target for the current month be achieved at 100 percent, with verification of related data. She emphasized that sowing should continue on both government and private lands, and instructed Deputy Commissioners to conduct personal monitoring visits to ensure compliance.
Highlighting the anti-smog campaign, Commissioner Marryam Khan said no negligence would be tolerated and citizens should be actively involved in the initiative. She noted that dengue surveillance in all districts is ongoing, with no fatalities reported, and that all dengue patients are in stable condition.
On flood relief, the Commissioner stated that surveys of affected families have been completed across all districts, noting that full rehabilitation of flood victims remains a priority under the Chief Minister’s directives.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioners Hamid Malhi and Muhammad Akbar, Deputy Commissioners Syed Musa Raza (Lahore), Rao Tasleem Akhtar (Nankana Sahib), Shahid Imran Marth (Sheikhupura), and Imran Ali (Kasur), along with other senior officials.
