Training workshop on business intelligence at UAF

FAISALABAD, Nov 15 (APP): The Business Incubation Centre (BIC) at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) organized a two-day training workshop on “Business Intelligence and Six Sigma Insights, Using Data Science” in collaboration with the Institute of Business Management Sciences (IBMS), following the directives of UAF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali.
Dr. Hammad Badar, Director of BIC, emphasized that this workshop aims to promote innovation and foster an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth. He highlighted the importance of acquiring emerging technologies to drive growth in both research and commercial ventures. According to Dr. Badar, data-driven strategies and Six Sigma methodologies are crucial for achieving efficiency, ensuring quality, and enhancing competitiveness in modern businesses, enabling them to compete on a global scale.
Prof. Dr. Rao Zahid Abbas, Principal Officer of Academic Teaching Research and Innovation (ATRI), underscored that such initiatives help bridge the gap between academia and industry, providing students with practical exposure to real-world analytical tools. He encouraged the youth to harness their innate abilities and transform them into valuable skills by embracing and practicing modern technologies.
Arshad Khan Khattak, a Data Scientist and Remote Sensing Expert, emphasized the importance of digital skills and business intelligence as critical pillars for national development in the digital economy. He pointed out that data analytics is not only a game-changer for the corporate sector but also has the potential to revolutionize agricultural systems by improving productivity and market intelligence.
