ABBOTTABAD, Nov 15 (APP): Assistant Commissioner Galiyat Shameem Ullah, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner and Livestock Department official Dr. Sajjad, conducted inspections of various hotels in Galiyat.
The inspection revealed extremely poor hygiene standards in kitchens, including rusty machinery, expired and substandard meat, and low-quality food items. In view of these violations, the hotel manager was arrested under the Food Stuff Act 1958. The district administration Abbottabad has reiterated that no negligence regarding public health and hygiene will be tolerated and immediate action will be ensured.
Meanwhile, acting on a citizen’s complaint regarding traffic issues, the Cantonment Board began clearing accumulated gravel along Murree Road. Owners of loader trucks transporting gravel and sand on Murree Road have been advised to keep their vehicles properly covered to prevent spillage on the road and ensure safe travel for all motorists, especially motorcyclists.
In another development, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Amanullah Saeed, visited the Rural Health Centers in Khaira Gali and Tajwal. During the visit, he met with the staff, reviewed the facilities being provided to patients, checked the availability of medicines, and examined the ongoing health activities. He instructed the staff to ensure improved service delivery and maintain high standards of healthcare.
