LODHRAN, Nov 15 (APP): Police have arrested two notorious drug peddlers and seized more than 12 kilograms of hashish from their possession during separate operations.
According to a police spokesperson, the raids were conducted on the special instructions of acting District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Afzal.
The Sadar Police Kahror Pacca team raided Mouza Lal Baghali, where they apprehended Iqbal Arain as part of an ongoing crackdown on drug peddlers. From Arain’s possession, they recovered 11 kilograms of hashish. Acting DPO Muhammad Afzal praised SHO Peeran Ditta and his team for their successful operation, emphasizing that the police force is committed to a zero-tolerance policy towards drugs.
In a second raid, the City Police arrested Ahsan Rasheed Gujjar near the Konki Wala canal, recovering 1,320 grams of hashish from his possession. A case has been registered against the accused, and further interrogation is underway.
Acting DPO Muhammad Afzal stated that the district police are taking every possible measure to protect the public from the dangers of drugs. He reaffirmed that the police will continue their raids against drug peddlers with full commitment and without discrimination.
