IGP pins new ranks to 38 promoted inspectors

LAHORE, Nov 14 (APP):A promotion ceremony for newly appointed inspectors was held at the Central Police Office under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar.
During the event, 38 officers who succeeded in the Punjab Public Service Commission examination were conferred the rank of Inspector. Families of the promoted officers, including parents and children, attended the ceremony.
IGP Dr. Usman said that this year seven promotion boards were conducted for sub-inspector to inspector promotions, elevating 1,047 officers. Over the past three and a half years, 27 promotion boards have promoted 3,456 officers to the rank of inspector.
He directed the newly promoted officers to uphold the responsibilities of their rank through exemplary conduct, effective justice delivery, and public service. SHOs were instructed to make police stations model institutions in terms of environment, citizen interaction, and Police Service Center facilities.
The ceremony was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-II Captain (R) Liaquat Ali Malik, AIG Discipline, SP Dolphin, and ASPs.
