SUKKUR, Nov 14 (APP):The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) on Friday hosted its annual Digital Logic Design Exhibition, showcasing the innovative projects of its students.
The event transformed the university’s new academic block into a hub of innovation, featuring practical projects and prototypes developed by students from the Computer Science and Information Technology programs.
The exhibition was attended by esteemed guests, including the Vice Chancellor of SALU, Meritorious Professor Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, who praised the students’ efforts and encouraged them to focus on the commercial potential of their work. “You have sufficient time to make more market-oriented projects which can be beneficial for society and Pakistan,” Dr. Khushk stated.
The event also provided a platform for bridging academia and industry, with representatives from The Changing Foundation expressing interest in several projects for potential commercialization. The foundation is seeking projects beneficial for rehabilitation services and has identified at least one project for further review.
The exhibition featured a Project Expo, showcasing work from students in Digital Logic Design and Digital Image Processing courses, evaluated by a panel of experts. The winning projects included a Color Detector System for Color Blind Individuals, an Auto Fire Detector and Fire Extinguisher Robot Car and an Automatic Car Parking Toll Gate System.
The event highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within its community, with distinguished faculty members in attendance.
