Dengue cases continue unabated in KP despite onset of cold weather

PESHAWAR, Nov 14 (APP):Dengue infections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continue to rise despite the prevailing cold weather, with the province reporting 56 new cases over the past 24 hours.
According to the latest situation report issued by the KP Health Department, the number of active dengue patients across the province has climbed to 376, while the cumulative tally for the current year has reached 5,825.
The report indicates that 36 newly diagnosed patients required hospitalisation during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of dengue patients currently receiving treatment at various hospitals to 36.
Since the start of the year, 1,998 patients have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue complications.
 Health authorities confirmed that 5,447 patients have recovered so far, while two fatalities attributed to the virus have been reported this year.
