ISLAMABAD, Nov 13 (APP): Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, expressed delight over the Sri Lanka Cricket Board’s decision to continue its team’s tour of Pakistan, calling it a positive step for sports diplomacy and bilateral relations.
He said the move ensures the promotion of cricket and peace between the two friendly nations, while also rejecting any attempts by adversaries to undermine Pakistan’s international engagements.
Speaking to the media, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said, “By deciding to continue their tour of Pakistan, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has taken a commendable step, demonstrating that friendship and sportsmanship rise above politics.”
He added, “With Allah’s grace, the conspiracies of our enemies will once again fail, and the Sri Lankan cricket team will continue their stay in Pakistan without disruption.”
The chairman emphasized that Pakistan and friendly countries like Sri Lanka must work together to promote peace, stability, and sports, sending a clear message to those who wish to create divisions. “Our enemies must accept their failure. Pakistan and Sri Lanka’s friendship is stronger than any challenge,” he stated.
Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan also highlighted that the decision by the Sri Lankan Cricket Board proves that sports can be a bridge for diplomacy, unity, and mutual respect, even in the face of political pressures.
