UNITED NATIONS, Nov 13 (APP): Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause at a meeting with his Palestine counterpart on Wednesday.

The meeting took place at the Pakistan Mission to the United Nations in New York.

A press release issued by the Pakistani Mission said the two diplomats discussed a broad range of issues, including the situation in Gaza and recent developments.

The meeting took place a day after a monthly luncheon hosted by Ambassador Asim Ahmad for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the elected members of the UN Security Council, known as E10, as well as the five newly-elected members who will take their seats on 1 January 2026, at which the situation in war-shattered Gaza and developments related to UN Peacekeeping were discussed.

Ambassador Asim Ahmad is E10’s coordinator for November.
