ISLAMABAD, Nov 13 (APP):Executive Director of the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, announced that Palestinian students have been granted an exemption from the equivalence fee in light of the severe humanitarian crisis and the grave economic hardships faced by families there.
According to the statement on Thursday, he said that this exemption has been granted on the special instructions of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, so that access to higher education may become easier for them.
“The primary purpose of this fee exemption is to provide immediate relief to Palestinian students studying in Pakistan and to ensure the continuity of their educational activities,” he added.
In difficult circumstances, education is the only means that strengthens young people and leads them toward a better future, Dr Mallah underscored.
Pakistan will continue to provide all possible educational support to Palestinian students even in the most challenging times, he reaffirmed.
According to the IBCC spokesperson, Pakistan has always expressed solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people, and facilitating the education of their children is our moral responsibility.
