RAWALPINDI, Nov 13 (APP):Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) continues to make remarkable strides in the academic world. For the second consecutive year, FJWU has been recognized as the top women’s university in Pakistan, securing the 34th position nationwide. On the global stage, the university has achieved an impressive 558th rank out of 1,526 institutions in the prestigious QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026, said a press release issued here Thursday.
These outstanding achievements reflect FJWU’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and global competitiveness. The university’s mission to empower women through quality education, innovation, and leadership continues to inspire and set new benchmarks in Pakistan’s higher education landscape.
FJWU’s success in the QS rankings can be attributed to its strong academic reputation among scholars and employers, the remarkable employability of its graduates, an excellent faculty-student ratio that ensures personalized mentorship and student support, a diverse and globally engaged community of international faculty and students, and a high number of citations per faculty that highlight the quality and impact of its research output. Together, these factors demonstrate the university’s strength as a center of learning, innovation, and academic excellence.
Expressing her pride in the University’s achievement, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (PoP, T.I.) commended the relentless efforts of the Director QEC, Prof. Dr. Bushra Yasmin, and the entire Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) team for their dedication and excellence in enhancing academic quality and institutional performance.
“This recognition is not just an achievement for FJWU but for Pakistan’s higher education sector as a whole,” said Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza.
She further said that the success reaffirmed our collective commitment to empowering women through education, innovation, and leadership, shaping future generations to make a meaningful impact globally.
