GUJRAT, Nov 13 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted 105 inspections across the district to ensure the quality of food items under the supervision of Deputy Director Rizwan Saeed.
During the operation, 32 food points were served improvement notices, while 16 were given verbal warnings.
Fines amounting to Rs101,000 were imposed on 11 business outlets for violating hygiene and food safety standards.
An emergency prohibition order was issued against one shop, while four samples were collected for laboratory testing.
Moreover, 20.01 kilograms of expired and substandard food items were discarded on the spot.
