SUKKUR, Nov 12 (APP):A notorious dacoit, Sultan Shah, and his son, Hubdar Ali Shah on Wednesday have been killed in a police encounter in the C Section police station area of Sukkur.
According to police officer, the dacoits were trying to flee after committing a robbery in Rohri when they were intercepted by the police. A police constable, Fazal Bhutto, was injured in the ensuing shootout.
The police retaliated, killing Sultan Shah and his son. The encounter took place in the C Section police station area.
Separately, a child, Faizan Sheikh, was injured in the firing during the robbery in Rohri and is currently out of danger.
The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Sukkur Range, Captain (Retired) Faisal Abdullah Chachar, has congratulated the Sukkur police team, led by SSP Azhar Mughal, on the successful operation.
The DIG has also ordered the best medical treatment for the injured constable and commended the police team for their bravery.
