ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (APP):Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Wednesday met with the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan Aziz Giyozoda, at the Parliament House.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on bilateral relations, parliamentary cooperation, and matters of mutual interest across various sectors.
Ayaz Sadiq said that Pakistan and Tajikistan enjoy historical, religious and cultural ties that form a strong foundation of brotherhood and mutual respect.
He said that Pakistan regards Tajikistan as a close and brotherly Islamic country and places high value on its friendship with the Central Asian Republics.
The Speaker emphasized that by strengthening parliamentary linkages, both countries can elevate mutual trust and cooperation to new heights.
He also highlighted the importance of enhancing cultural, educational, and trade cooperation to promote prosperity and understanding between the two nations.
“Pakistan is the second home for the people of Tajikistan,” said the Speaker, noting Tajikistan’s resilience and sacrifices in overcoming the challenges of prolonged conflict.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting regional stability and strengthening cooperative frameworks for peace and development.
Both leaders agreed to continue joint efforts for ensuring peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
On the occasion, Aziz Giyozoda, appreciated Pakistan’s commitment to regional harmony and expressed his country’s desire to further deepen bilateral and parliamentary relations.
He said that Pakistan and Tajikistan are bound by strong ties of common faith, traditions, and cultural values.
