ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (APP):In view of the current security situation Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has further intensified security measures across the federal capital to ensure the protection of citizens and visiting dignitaries.
An official told APP on Wednesday that Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Capt (R) Ali Raza Qazi visited various security points across the city to review on-ground arrangements and assess police readiness.
During the inspection, SSP Qazi directed the officers and personnel on duty to remain fully alert and maintain heightened vigilance at all entry and exit points, sensitive installations, and public areas. He emphasized that no lapse in duty would be tolerated and that all field officers must stay in constant coordination with control rooms and supervisory officers.
The SSP reviewed deployment patterns, checking procedures, and communication setups, ensuring that quick response units, patrolling teams, and intelligence coordination mechanisms are operating efficiently.
He reaffirmed that the Islamabad Police is fully committed to ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
“Every officer must perform with dedication and professionalism,” SSP Qazi said. “The safety of citizens and visiting delegations is our foremost duty, and we will ensure foolproof arrangements across the city.”
He added that Islamabad Police continues to operate under a zero-tolerance policy against negligence, focusing on prevention, preparedness, and public confidence.
The ICT Police spokesperson said the force remains vigilant and mission-focused, reaffirming that the security and peace of Islamabad will be maintained with full dedication.
